Any Info on New McCormack LD 2?

New issue of Stereophile has an ad showing a new preamp from McCormack to replace the RLD. The McCormack web site doesn't have anything there yet.

I have been contemplating a used RLD and then getting the "Platinum" upgrade from SMc Audio to pair with my DNA-1 Gold amp. I spoke to Mr. McCormack the other day who advised one of the upgrades is a Burr Brown volume attenuator which I think may also be contained in the new LD 2.

My question is basically which way to go, an upgraded RLD or a stock LD 2?

If Mr. McCormack happens to read this, his comments would be most welcome.
