Anthem AVM 70 or Marantz AV10

Hi,

I'm thinking about upgrading my system. I currently have a Marantz AV7702mk2...
I see excellent reviews about the AVM 70... I wanted to know if there is much difference in general sound quality compared to the AV10.

My current system:
Marantz AV7702MK2
Parasound A51
Parasound A23
Parasound HCA1206 (a little old, but still good for atmos)
KEF R3 Meta (LR)
KEF R2C Target (C)
KEF Q100 (surrounds)
KEF Q50A (surround back)
SVS PB13 Ultra
Klipsch R12

The AVM 70 is cheaper and I would take it over the Marantz all day. However, at the price of the AV10 the better comparison would be the AVM 90 and I'd take that over everything under 15k.

Marantz is a great brand but not really my taste sonically, little to dark for me. Also, the Marantz now employs Dirac live capability which is great if you are a techy guy that likes to tweak. Otherwise Anthems ARC is by far easier to use and will get you to about 95% of the same end point as Dirac. That last 5% is if you want to tweak every frequency of every speaker btw.

I see a fill anthem avm 70 owners with software problems...

The av7702mk2 software runs very well, i only have a problem once,  but it was my fault.

I will try to find a used AVM 70 4k version.

Thanks for the advice.

@thiagoalves

Yes, the early AVM70s did have some software issues, along with the MRX series. That lasted about a year and has been fine ever since.

If you're looking used make sure it comes with the calibration mic

I Dont use the marantz audissey here... The final result sonds artificial and less vivid.

I found one AVM70 4k here, but the seller thinks I'm a scammer.

I believe it's because my account is new, and I live in Brazil lol

but I really didn't know the audiogon community, we had a very large forum here in Brazil (HTforum.com.br) but they had a problem with the server and lost the data... I have already linked my account with my phone and my Facebook account. Is there anything else that could be done to confirm my identity?

Anyway, thanks for the tips.
