Used a Tourmaline based hair dryer, in the past, to clear up CRT screens (pointed the back of the dryer @ the screen).
Some (at the time) were using them to treat audio source material, but I don't recall the specifics.

Another Tool for cleaning records?
Has anyone tried a plasma hair dryer for removing dust, reducing static and dryer freshly cleaned records? They claim to reduce static by emitting both positive and negative ions. For those with physics or electrical engineering backgrounds, does this pass the smell test? The plasma hair dryers are not cheap, starting at around $70, but neither are record cleaning machines. I know there are nearly as many opinions out there as there are Audiophile members, but I'm hoping to get mainly informed opinions. Thanks.
