If you want to hear more detail I would add room treatment; "bright" sounding amps appear to give more detail but just alter the balance of what you were already hearing. Getting rid of cancellation due to reflected sound will give you more real details.
Amps that are "forward"
I have always wanted forward sounding equipment and now that I'm getting older (58) when I turn the music up I don't here more detail.Any suggestions on amps and speakers and experiences by you older audiophiles would be greatly appreciated.
