Amplification for Linkwitz Orion ++

After trying all kinds of upgrades I've decided to take the plunge and build the Linkwitz Orion speakers including the new rear firing tweeter and the Thor subwoofer. The project will require 8 - 12 channels of amplification depending on the configuration used on the woofers. SL recommends the ATI 6012 for the Orions and the ATI 1802 for the Thors.

I was wondering if anyone here had tried alternative amplification for these speakers and would like to share experiences.

I'm considering using wiring from the Alpha Core inductors for internal speaker wiring and going with Alpha-Core silver cables for the speaker cables
Not sure I've understood. Fm Orions backwards: connect each driver DIRECT to amplifier (higher voltage, spkr cable), then, amplifier to XOVER (low voltage, interconnect cable). You can use silver for both or the inductor wire for both. If you mix, try silver on IC & copper for the drivers.
If I understood what you are saying it would be better to avoid the extra terminations at the speaker and go direct from driver to amp
Exactly -- as long as you don't mind the wires (you might hide them s/how). Cheers
