Am I crazy to upgrade?

Hello all, I’m currently on the vetge of making a multi thousand dollar "upgrade" and thought it would be prudent to get some insight/ feedback from those that know before pulling any triggers.

I currently have a 7.2 system with B&W 804s, 805s, SC1s, Htm1 & 2 Rel Storm iiis.

I have 3 Emotiva gen 2 XPA1s, an XPR5 for the rears, XMC--2, and a Blusound Node 2.

I have always wanted the Tekton Ulfberhts with two 410 subs and wide Double Impact center. I have the opportunity to pick them up at a very reasonable price as well as the Impact References for rears. So, when you upgrade your speakers you have to upgrade everything else. :) So I was thing Parasound JC1 monos and a JC3? Maybe a ysed Anthem AVM 70 or 90? Or a NAD M12 or M17? Ir Wyred 4 sound SX1000R monoblocks? Keep the Emotiva? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I'm buying the subs and center new. You'd think that would be enough spent to have the Ulfs tested. I would have to ask the man himself.

I would no idea how to test them. I was thinking about a possible road trip to ensure their safe arrival with a detour to Tekton hq in Utah to pick up the subs and center. Perhaps the owner, Eric, could test them?

Everything you listed would be an  improvement over the Emotiva.

Thanks! Do you think the Tekton 5.2 would be much of an improvement over the 7.2 B&W?

My room space is 30' x 40'. In the process of divorce. :) I'm actually selling her SUV to pay for it all. :) She was never supportive of the hobby. Lol However, I have high pitched ceilings. So, having a fancy Atmos home theater is too much of a hassle. So my main focus is 2 channnel.

Thanks for the feedback. The XPA-1 Monoblock amps I have powering my front 3 (BhW 804s & HTM1) are the Gen 2 versions that can do pure Class A or AB. I picked up a pair of Tekton Impact Reference locally that I intend to use for the rears and boy do they sound good. I did a ind a/b vs the 804s and I preferred the Tektons! I can't imagine what the Ulfs will sound like! I can't wait to get them in my room!
