Altmann BYOB or Pass Aleph?
I'm looking for an amp to match up with a monitor speaker (ADAM ANF10: 89db, 4 Ohm, 7" woofer).
The best amp I heard so far is the Pass Aleph 0s. It just sounded like "real music" as opposed to a good stereo playback system... However, I keep reading the rave reviews of the Altmann and the power efficiency and 'off the grid' operation has appeal to me (power is really bad quality where I live).
Now I am trying to decide between an Aleph style amp (First Watt F5, Aleph J, Aleph 30) or an Altmann BYOB amp...
Anybody heard both types and can compare?
Thanks!
