Alternatives to Marantz Model 50/CD50n?

I own the Marantz Model 50 and CD50n. I like them a lot. They fulfill a very specific set of requirements and do it well--better than the price point might suggest. But I'm wondering if there is anything else I should try.

I know there are loads of options in other configurations/specs, but are there any other options out there that offer the following:

  1. Two-box solution. No more. No fewer.
  2. HDMI Arc. I know this rules out a lot of great options. C’est la vie.
  3. Complete Integration. One remote. One power button. Etc.
  4. PCM 32/384 and DSD256 via at least one input.
  5. Wifi and Airplay.

I think the non answer is your answer.  If you’re looking for more than midFi you’ll lose things like Wi-Fi (for which there’s an easy workaround) and ARC as you’ve obviously already found.  At a certain point lifestyle and hifi products part ways, and it appears you’ve found that point.  At least you’re enjoying what you have, so that’s the good thing.

What don’t you like about what you have now? Many people spend decades changing gear constantly without ever being satisfied. There is no perfect system. And some components are dreadful. I’ve seen the CD50 and Model 50 sell new on Ebay sell for $2500 total. Seems like a lot of gear for the money.

I would buy a 1-box version of the CD50 + Model 50 for my bedroom if it existed.
