already looking to the future...

so, as im getting my first system together (check out my thread on cart allignment, i could still use the help of experienced audiophiles) im already planning out my second, and probably more permenant system. now...ive decided on components other than a turntable and speakers, which ive decided to go with the jolida name, because ive heard really nice things about them, and theyre based in my home state of md, so getting things fixed if they go wrong is not a hassle.

my real question is this...the three decks im seriously considering (im thinking about 6 months to a year down the road) are the rega p3-24 or the clearaudio emotion, or the pro-ject xperience. the clearaudio and pro-ject because uha carries them and theyre close by, and was spoken very highly of by their salesman i met with, and the rega, well because of their legendary status. now im going to demo the clearaudio and the pro-ject in store before i buy them, but know of nowhere to get a chance to demo the rega, and i was wondering on opposing opinions on these three decks. thanks.

I have found the Regas far superior to the Project tables. Have not heard the Clearaudio.
I have not personally heard any of these tables, but I am sure you will find fellow philes on AudiogoN that can advise as to the differences between the three decks...

My advice is for you to try ANY/ALL tables you are considering at home for a personal audition in your own rig before you buy. Of course, this is not always easy to accomplish, especially with delicate turntables. Many dealers may balk at letting you drag one home too. But, hearing a piece in your own room and with your own equipment is the best way to decide if it is for you.

Another very good table for the money is the VPI Scout. I did own this table at one time and it is an excellent table for the money...IMO anyway...
