Yes, it was a very sad affair. It was noted here and on all the audiophile forums. He was well known and well respected.

Maybe this news is only new to me? I sent him and email and his wife replied which, was a little unusual. He always replied himself when I wrote before. I was doing some reading on one of his designs and found out he passed away in February.
I really like his gear and he was a great inspiration to me and many others in the DIY community. I'm really at a loss for words right now. RIP Allen you will be missed.
