All ML or mix & match with Electrostatics?

I AM CONSIDERING THE PURCHASE OF A ML380S WITH EITHER ML390S OR 360S DAC & 37 TRANSPORT OR MIX AND MATCH ONE OF THESE COMPONENTS. THE SYSTEM NOW IS RUN BY ML336 AMP AND MARTIN LOGAN PRODIGY SPEAKERS. I PREFER THE ABILITY TO CONTROL MY SYSTEM WITH A REMOTE AND REALIZE THIS IS POSSIBLE WITH ALL ML EQUIPMENT. YET LOOKING FOR A PLEASING DETAILED YET WARM, FULL BODIED SOUND. I AM BUILDING THE SYSTEM AND DO PREFER NOT TO BUY AND RESELL. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR HO.

I have a ML system and love it. Currently I'm using a 380s, 336, 39 for transport, and the 360s. It sounds great together and the components can all be linked and you can use one the remote from the 37 or 39 to control everything. I am going to be selling my 380s and my 39 they are still under warranty and have recently been sent to Madrigal for update/checkup. This would be a great way to get Levinson sound. Let me know if you are interested in more info on your system or the equipment.
Thanks,
Steven
I would respectfully and seriously suggest that you audition full range Sound Lab electrostatics when you get a chance. If domestic tranquility and acceptance is a factor, the A series approach the look of fine furniture with book matched finish and so on. SLs may give you the results you are looking for. They are a final purchase. If you must stick with ML (certainly a great choice) audition the McINtosh 602 amp. At a friends store they made the MLs sound more musical and lifelike than some of the other amps mentioned. IMHO.
I have two systems both with Levinson amps. Both also with BAT tube preamps. I find great synergy in the BAT pre/Levinson amp combo. As a former Martin-Logan user, I would suggest you find a VK50 preamp to try, not the SE, a straight 50. Best of luck whatever you do.

I don't think you'd go wrong with the ML 380S-- it's an excellent pre-amp, and would certainly work well with your other ML equipment. What are you using for a pre-amp and source for playback now? I've never seen reviews that indicated that the Martin Logans were "warm and full bodied"-- more like detailed and accurate-- but if you like their sound, that's what matters. I haven't heard them myself though. Cheers. Craig
There's no need to go with all Levinson in order to achieve your desired results. Here's what I'd recommend:

Boulder 1012 preamplifier/DAC
Levinson 37 transport
Boulder 1060 power amplifier
Cardas Golden Reference interconnects and speaker cables
Cardas AES/EBU digital cable
