Aliexpress no longer an option

Anyone try to buy from Aliexpress recently?  I went in to pick up some copper banana connectors, added them to my cart to find out what our new tariffs look like.  $13.00 set of 4 bananas, $1.14 tax, $1.20 shipping and $23.40 customs fee!  That for a $13.00 item.  Trade war has arrived at our door.  Grrrrrrr….

Please reframe from the political debates/opinions I just wanted to inform USA audio shoppers what our China tariff reality is now.

Now now…I realize this is hard to comprehend…self control guys. I guess this is asking for the impossible.

The crazy tariffs are temporary until realistic ones are negotiated in new agreements.

Anyone who doesn’t understand the concept of selling cheaply made goods to destroy one’s society‘s culture. If you don’t believe China produces this cheaply made stuff as another way to destroy our society you are sadly mistaken. For us to have fallen pray to this marketing exploitation, We really need to take a look at ourselves.

@bigtwin Agree many parts can be bought in the USA and can easily find USA options.  My post is not just about banana plugs it’s an example of what buying anything from China now looks like.   Many items are only available in China like buying $300 Psvane tubes, $800 Lilsong speaker drivers to name a few and the list goes on….

There are so many great quality parts available from US suppliers, for a couple of bucks, there's really no reason to be buying banana plugs from Ali in the first place.  IMHO.   Now there may be many other valid reasons to hate tariffs, but this is not one of them.  Cheers.
