This is why, over time, I’ve gravitated to using the Cable Company’s lending library.
The cables are already run in. Also, I’ve learned to never make a cable buying decision without comparing at least three different cables. My last cable purchase was a digital cable and I tried 6 different cables before making a final decision.
As for silver, I’ve had silver cables that sounded just right with one set of components and too bright (or too dull ) with different sets of components.
