i am looking at gfa7000 and av705 both 130wpc x 5 .is either of these a poor choice for beginner 5.1 system.both are relatively cheap used ,about $400..please let me know cause no one local nas a clue..
adcom's a safe bet. the carver unit got some very good reviews, although i personally avoid carver equipment manufactured after 1994, when bob carver left the comapny--there seems to have been a decline in build quality.
