The thin layer shouldn't affect acoustics. IME only a thick, VERY tightly woven fabric would reflect enough sound to notice. Leave it on.
Acoustics - stonewool based panels
Hi guys,
I've set my mind to build some absorbent panels made of stonewool.
The stonewool boards I bought are wrapped with a thin polyethylene flame retardant layer.
Should i leave it on or is safe to take it off?
Would this have an effect on the sound absorption properties of the panels?
