I have a MKII.
The AC connector is mounted sideways, it is neither UP nor DOWN with respect to the third pin.
Looking at the rear of the unit, the connector is at the far left side of the MKII and it is oriented "RIGHT". That is to say, the third pin is on the right side and the two pins that are parallel to each other are on the left.
