A really dumb tube question

I'll make this quick.
This is a legit question.
In a linestage application,can a 12ax7,12au7 or a 12at7 be interchangeable?
Im soon getting a linestage that uses 12at7's.
I have a few NOS 12au7's.I was wondering if I could use them?
