A good little documentary on the great Jim Lauderdale.

It clocks in at a little over one hour and eighteen minutes, with appearances by Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, Rodney Crowell, and Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam's original producer and guitarist). It may be all you need to pique your interest in this very talented songwriter and singer in the so-called Americana style of music.

Oh, and Elvis Costello, Patty Loveless, Ricky Skaggs, Jerry Douglas, James Burton, Ralph Stanley, Dusty Wakeman (SoCal recording engineer, and player of a 3-string Fender P-Bass), many others.

I learned some things I didn’t know about Jim, and now have some albums I need to find. Elvis and Jim did an album together?

Jim is from Troutman, NC. not far from Statesville, where I lived at one time. I think we’re of similar age. Always loved his album Time Flies.
