Are there any launching dates of Raul' s tonearm and Dertonearm's turntable? Do we see something in 2011?

Now that would be something to see :-). Derts table using Raul's tonearm being aligned with Dert's universal protractor.
T_bone. How could anyone of impecable taste listen to their turntable with the lid down :-)
Even with my lp12 music sounds much better with the lid up, or better still off. Never even thought of playing the exclusive P3 with the lid down.
But seriously, a great thread that makes cd /digital even more boring
Hi Henry

I think Jasper being polite as he always is, is telling you to get a new wall shelf :-) One that does not sag.

You can spend those pennies then :-)

cheers

Hi Henry

The Exclusive P3 is superb. It certainly has never had any feedback problems, so I am not sure where that comment came from.

The P3 has very sophisticated triple isolation (oil-damping + spring + rubber) which is isolated from the plinth. Isolation is down to 5hz. The motor structure and tonearm are on the same plane.

So, why would I want to remove the "decoration" plinth? It looks classy, sophisticated and timeless , yet like most plinths does not effect the sound quality or isolation abilities.

The Japanese engineers spent a lot of R&D on the P3 and it shows. I am sorry if you think anyone in their right mind would try to disassemble it. A tonearm rewire would be beneficial thou.

It was the most successful high-end & high-priced turntable in Japan for good reason.
Very cool Henry.   did you get a decent price for the Herzan and where did your source it from?
I can pm you for ultimate details.
Halcro, As far as I know JCarr was using a Marantz TT1000 DD as a daily runner.

That is correct. There was a TT1000 for sale on ebay a few years back for local pickup only very close to me. He wanted a second one. I was going to pick it up for JCarr and give it to the AU Lyra importer to ship to Jon in Japan. LOL - they were outbid on ebay by someone else.
All his other turntables are in storage.

cheers
