8TC vs. 4TC

I have a pair of Kimber speaker cables that are either 8TC or 4TC. I believe both types are black and blue, but how do you tell difference? One would assume the 8TC have eight strands per side vs. 4TC having four, correct?

Sorry, I should clarify:

8TC has 8 blue and 8 black for a total of 16

4TC has 4 blue and 4 black for a total of 8
