5 CD Changer as transport only?

I've used this one from Sony but you can only use a Toslink cable with it and not a digital coax unless you have a converter.

I never had a problem with it and I beat up on my Sony when I wanted to break-in DACs. I would set it on repeat for days breaking in various DACs and there was never a hiccup.

I used an Onkyo DC-X390 as a transport for a few years (6-disc carousel), very reliable, good sound and usability. Coax out and direct digital path. Also used a Monarchy DIP Combo with it which smoothed out the highs and firmed up the bass.
