2ohms, 4ohms, 8ohms, which to hookup too?

First off thanks for your help. I have a McIntosh MC300 and one pair of D700 and D500 Tannoy speakers. I would like to connect one of each to my right and left channel. The nominal impedance for each speaker is 6ohms.

The amp offers either a 2, 4 or 8 ohm connect. Which do I use and how to you caculate this total?

According to McIntosh Lab, when in doubt, hook up to the lowest Ohm. It shouldn't matter much, since the MC300 is an autoformer, which means it will deliver 300W/Ch. to whatever load.
Good luck,
