Have been enjoying and living with the following system for the last year.... have been thinking about the next update/upgrade for a while... looking to stay below $2k but want to spend where I will see the most improvement in overall sound quality... current system is:
 
Turntable: Technics SL1200 w/ Nagaoka MP110
Phonostage: Schiit Mani
Streamer: Bluenode 2i
DAC: Schiit Modi 3
Preamp: Schiit Saga Plus
Amp: Schiit Aegir
Speakers: Klipschhorns (1981) w/ Crites crossovers & upgraded Crites tweeters

Thinking about the following upgrades... uncertain which may provide the most noticeable improvement in overall sound quality.

1) another Aegir (monoblock) + Freya Plus (consider this to be a solid upgrade)
2) another Aegir + Denafrips Ares II (I stream 60% of the time)
3) Denafrips Ares II + Upgrade Phone Stage (unsure what would be a great upgrade)

Really like the Schiit gear so not looking to move at this point.  Look forward to suggestions.
