Echo/reverb effect DAC to PC USB connection
Thanks for your reply. The DAC is asynchronous. Not sure what ASIO is - software program? Just out of curiosity, is there a way to connect them wireless?

What's the best and/or favorite piece of equipment you've owned? And do you still own it?
My Kyocera DA-610cx CD player. Purchased new in 1986. It's never needed service. It doesn't balk at playing newer file types like MP3's, FLAC's, etc. burned to CD-R's. The sound is warm and not overly bright.

If you post your question on audiokarma I can provide you with photos. My username is wasclywabbit.
Kyocera PL-601 headshell
The headshell is male. There is a small knurled setscrew on the side of the arm just behind it that releases it. I'd attach a photo but I don't know how to do that on this website.
Charity store bin diving? Am I the only one that suffers this addiction?
GW's in my neck of the woods are pretty slim pickings. Craigslist is where the action is. Fortunately we have a local book store with an impressive selection of $2.00 vinyl.

You might also want to consider Kyocera. Often overlooked because they were made only for a short time. I own a R-461 that has served me quite well. Although only rated at 50 watts/channel its MOSFET circuitry gives it a lot of headroom. Very stur...
nad c541 vs kyocera da 710 cx
I'd go with the Kyo. I have owned an NAD 5000 Monitor Series and a Kyocera DA-610cx. When it came time for one to go I kept the Kyo. For all of the NAD's precision the natural warmth of the Kyo won me over. Plus it's prettier.
Is there a such too much power for speakers?
More power isn’t better. Better quality design and build is better. My Kyocera MOSFET from the 1980’s is rated at 50 watts/channel, with 125 watts/channel on demand. It will push my speakers well beyond the pain threshold with no distortion. Sor...
Are your speakers designed for your listening taste and hearing ability?
I'm 65+ and recently did some upgrades. No question my hearing ain't what it used to be and it occurred to this is last system I'll want or need. Speakers first. Bose Acoustimass SE 5s to Difinitve Technology Mythos Gem XL's and a DT ProSub 800. T...
Choosing a cartridge for a vintage TT.
I recently got a Tannoy Micro TM33 with an original Stanton 681EEE. I had to replace the stylus. I'm totally blown away by clarity, balance, separation and accuracy of this cartridge. Both the Tannoy and Stanton date from the 70's. A 681EEE can be...
