anyone know anything about marsh? The preamp is awesome. I demoed one from Audio Advisor. Ended up with a PS Audio PCA-2. I believe that the Marsh was a better sounding unit. The amp isn't all it's cracked up to be. I wasn't impressed. Definately recommend the pre.
Who is your overall favorite guitarist? Definately Joe Satriani!!
Solid state amps under 1000 I would easily recommend a Aragon 8008ST. I sold one, but they are definately one of the best in this price range. I currently have a Musical Fidelity A3CR. I think the MF is more revealing, but the Aragon has more muscle and finesse. It depends o...
Neutral preamps Reference Line passive preamps are awesome!! You can get some of them with remotes. I sold a Preeminence 1A, and I am sorry I did. Excellent sound. You could probably pick one up for around $600. It is a warm, but high in resolution. Hard to beat.
Pink Floyd's "Echoes" Better than MOFI. Better than any remastered aluminum Pink Floyd that I have heard. Awesome remaster job. Recommended.
Hear ye! Thou who knowist thy speakers.. Check out B&W Nautilus 802's used or 803's new. Wonderful speakers on a wide variety of music. The bass will not blow you away, but they have outstanding highs and mids. Stereophile also recommends these.

Kef vs Martin Logan I haven't heard the Martin Logans. I have not heard the KEF Reference 3's. I have owned a pair of KEF Reference 1's. The top end was slightly laid back. The bass was rather boomy. The bass in the Reference 3's is probably tighter. The thing I love...
B&W Nautilus - jumper advice I have tried two different setups for my 805's. I bought some MIT bannana to bannanas. These were 12" long. Did not like the looks or sound. Bought some bannana adaptors at Best Buy that take bare wire. Cut the MIT's down to just barely go from to... |
