Your Favorate JBL's from the 70's
I started out with L40's back in the late 70's.........all I could afford, but they got me hooked on the "West Coast Sound". A few years later a friend of mine owed me some cash and offered up his brand new L-100's which I used up until a few year... 
Good ROCK speakers
JBL L100's. Ebay has used ones for sale all the time. They are built like the Titanic and the woofers don't need reconing like the 110's, L200's...etc. Another plus is that the raw drivers are always for sale as well...A true testament to the buil... 
Adcom GCD575 am I crazy or does this sound better.
No, your not crazy...It is a great sounding player. I recently had to let mine go because the laser was starting to fail after 13 years. Adcom wants $450.00 to replace it! It's obvious that they are concentrating on their new player with those kin... 
Who has the oldest speakers?
JBL L-100, circa 1977...used to have the nice blue foam grill covers that turned to mush in the 80's. These still look new and will undoubtedly out-live me. 
Speakers to hang on to for LIFE
Hands down...JBL L100. I purchased mine new in 1977 and they still work and look like new. The drivers are "bullet proof" and will without-a-doubt out-live me. The woofers used accordian surrounds that will never need reconing...a big plus. The ma...
