Tube Amp for Devore O/96
@ghasley - I went looking for the source and only found these videos https://youtu.be/P_gJS_u6gWc https://youtu.be/BDVfzCvqH8E Maybe  over time my memory confused the icon amp with the emt amp? I had it in my head he used an icon amp. I even ha...
Tube Amp for Devore O/96
Something to consider is that John DeVore personally uses an Icon Audio amp in his setup. If the designer of the speakers uses them probably worth considering -  Also I watched a Steve Huff video last night you would probably enjoy, the va...
Anything close to Hegel H360 but smaller/lighter?
The Hegel is really good from what I've heard, but beefy and powerful and probably overkill for what you want it for. I think it's a good idea to replace the forte as it uses playfi as it's app, I've used playfi and didn't think it was very good. ...
Best DACs under $7,000.00
I would think the Chord TT2 would be the best match as others have suggested. I base that on how it would work with your existing gear, using a tube amp and Harbeths, it would balance them out nicely. I think if I had neutral, analytical sounding ...
What Gear is Universally Adored?
@nyev , that's tricky to answer, I've never listened to the Dave or any of the other super high level DACs, but I've seen a lot of reviews on the Holo Audio May KTE and everyone seems to like it, praise it's measurements etc. I haven't read a bad ...
What Gear is Universally Adored?
On your list where it mentions the Chord Dave and m-scaler, they seem to fall in the marmite camp of love or hate. A better fit would be their Qutest product - it's cheap and cheerful with the base elements of the more expensive products, and nobo...
Chord M-Scaler and Should I Want One?
I think you are on to something about using m-scaler with other Chord products for best results. I always thought of it as primarily intended to elevate the performance of the Hugo TT, with diminishing returns in other applications. Here is anothe...

Non-Delta Sigma DAC in £800-£1200 range options?
Have you considered a Chord Qutest for your price range? It is neutral sounding.   Edit to add a review link that describes the neutrality of it's sound: https://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/chord-electronics-qutest-dac/
Accuphase dac 60
I have had a similar experience to you and can make an informed recommendation for a potentially good DAC to try. I have a Luxman L-550axii amplifier which is quite warm, smooth and refined like your Accuphase. I also use a Bluesound NODE as sourc...
