Ethernet Cables - what are you using and why?
Fredrik Lejonklou tested a wide range of lengths and found 8.5 feet to be the most musical.  I only tested a few but found 8.5 feet more musical than 10 or 20 and also better than 6 feet.
Those rare albums that are great on first listen.
King Crimson - "In the Court of the Crimson King" Jethro Tull - "Thick as a Brick" Miles Davis - "Kind of Blue" Eberhard Weber - "The Colours of Chloë" Pink Floyd - "Dark Side of the Moon" There are many, many more but I also limited myself t...
Worst Speakers Ever??
How about the most honest crap speaker?  Back in the late 60s and 70s Infinity was getting a name for itself with things like the Servo Statik 1.  But they also sold a lot through the large chain Tech Hi-Fi, who wanted some cheap speakers with a g...
Ethernet Cables - what are you using and why?
Much as I hate to get in the middle of a dreaded cable debate, I figured this one might be safe enough.   First off I do hear musically significant differences between different Ethernet cables.  Second, as is typically the case with Hi-Fi, cost ...

Repair Linn turntable vs buying a different one
I have been working on and fine tuning Linn, Rega and other turntables for over 40 years.  The LP12 is still the finest record spinner I have heard and is certainly worth upgrading.  However, I am having some problems with the figures you mention ...
Linn Sondek question
Unfortunately I didn't find out about the Bill Evans until recently.  I would have jumped on it had I known, but I'm just not willing to pay $300 and up for one.  Congrats to those who got in on it early.
Linn Sondek question
A lot of information and misinformation on the LP12, but that isn’t unusual. I’m Thomas O’Keefe, better known among Linnies as ThomasOK, an LP12 technician of some regard and the person who discovered the torque system of fine-tuning an LP12 over...
