Can recommend some non-fatigue SMALL bookshelf for near-field listening? Thanks all! Sorry for my late update, but I have been doing quite some research re. the suggestions. Checking the frequency response/review/home demo. I did a home demo of KEF R3, and I found they are still a bit bright, and I set a roll-off fr...
Can recommend some non-fatigue SMALL bookshelf for near-field listening? Hi, my budget is < 2000 Euro and I am living in Europe. A 6-inch woofer might be too big. In that case, I may end up with a Kef r3 or r300 but they are just too big, the same as the fantastic Gold 100. ;-)
Can recommend some non-fatigue SMALL bookshelf for near-field listening? Thanks all, I just checked a bit re the recommendations. Adding a subwoofer is not an option at this moment. Specifically, a pair that can go down towards sub 50 Hz would be ideal. The 6-inch ones are just too big (typically >30 cm depth). BT...
Can recommend some non-fatigue SMALL bookshelf for near-field listening? How about the bass. I saw the P3ESR reaches 75 Hz which is a bit higher than the 50Hz from most of the other speakers at this size?
How to tame a bright system? BTW: I was about to take the special 40, but their look really makes me hesitate. ...... why no white version ?!
How to tame a bright system? Thank you all. It's me again, coming back with some useful info. I tried several speakers at a local store. Unfortunately, most of them sound forward and the music can be aggressive sometime. When I was about to leave, I saw a pair of Dynaudio S1....
How to tame a bright system? Thank you for the room eq suggestion. I tried a YAMAHA ypao long time ago not for the 606s, but for another setup. What I heard was proper response but at the cost of a lot of details. Thereafter, I dare not try anymore. Could you help to comment ...
How to tame a bright system? Yes, I tried toe in/out. Toe-in works a bit but not as much as the xtrm cable. Yet, the cable is not day/night. Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I can enjoy more than a few days ago. ;-)
How to tame a bright system? Hi all, Thank you SO MUCH for your reply/comments. As expected, most of the comments are on the speakers.... 😂 Here is the story of 606s2. I went into a local store and tried almost all speakers within 3k including Dynaudos/KEF/Sonus Faber/B&...
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i Hi all, I am also trying to find a proper cable for my N130 which is close to the node 2. I have tried an isotech c7 cable (silver plated copper) which changes nothing but adding brightness. I saw wireworld (WW) electra mini recommended, but ...
What do you think is the best power-amp between B&W speakers and Chord DAVE Thanks all! Just a quick update from my side. Considering all factors, in the end, I tool Etude to drive my 606s2 fed by a Dave. Everything is great. Thank you all again for helping out. I appreciate all the comments all the same. If space allowed...
What do you think is the best power-amp between B&W speakers and Chord DAVE Sorry, Pass is way too big.... I have to choose something else, at least <40 cm depth.....
What do you think is the best power-amp between B&W speakers and Chord DAVE Thanks all for helping out. I just double-checked the dimension of Pass labs amps. They are way too big for my rack, I almost pushed the order button of Pass x150.8. I am checking the other amps recommended in the posts, but I am really leaning to... |
