If you had to narrow your choices to 4 - 5 speakers Definitely stop by the PranaFidelity room. The new Dhara’s are pretty dang good. PF’s owner, Steven Norber, is a great guy. Easy to talk to and a wealth of knowledge. You won’t be disappointed.
Looking for Speaker Recommendations All great recommendations I think. I’d also give serious consideration to PranaFidelity’s Dhara line. Give Steven Norber at Prana a call. He’s a true gentleman and is a wealth of info. If all you do is just a call, it’ll still be worth your whil...
Devore or Audio Note or other sensitive speakers: wanting to listen in Denver Prana Fidelity is a local Denver manufacturer. Not as sensitive as others mentioned but quite good. I love my Bhava’s and the new Dhara is even better. Happy to have you over for a listen. I’m in Centennial. Steve York.
looking for a Integrated amp $6,000 range Lots of great choices here. I love my Mimas. Good luck.
Got to visit Audio Alternatives Rick is top notch. I’ve known Rick since the late 80’s. My wife calls him “no shoes” because he was nice enough to remove his shoes when he came to our dingy “just married” apartment to set up a pair of Linn Kans—circa 1987. Rick will still trav...
First impression: Herron VTPH-2A phono preamp SCM, I’ll be able to answer your question next week as I’m trading my VTPH-1mc for the VTPH-2a. My understanding, though, is that the major improvements in the VTPH-2a were to the MC side of things.
Valve phono stage There’s a Herron VTPH-2a for sale right now on A’gon. Check it out.
Valve phono stage Infection. My previous gear included an ARC LS-27 preamp; VTL TP 2.0 II phono stage; and VTL ST 150 amp. I’m extremely happy with my Herron set up. Somewhat reminds me of my Naim set up from 10 years ago with a tube flair.
Valve phono stage Another vote for the Herron. I bought a pre-loved VTPH-1a MC from Keith. I loved it so much I sold all my gear and went to a Herron VTSP-3a and the Herron M-1a monos. I also had money left over which helped pay the tax man.
Mono Blocks on a Budget, is it possible? There are a couple pairs of Herron monos for sale right now on Agon. Worth a look. |
