How long should high quality speakers last?
I had a pair of Ohm Walsh speakers last over 30 years and was used daily. I did replace the drivers after the 30 year mark with an upgrade kit from Ohm.  As long as it is in a normal humidity and temperature environment it will last longer than yo...

Considering your situation the NAD M10 is a great option. Compact and a big screen. Sounds great!

After 20 years, in the market for a power amp
I have the Coda No 8 V1 driving B&W 805 D4’s. I wholly agree with audphile1 description “Coda no.8 is another option. This amp is faster, more articulate than the Pass but still retains natural tone and is clear and relaxed sounding.”

Turntable suggestions for a newbie
Technics (or other tt) with removable head shell is a must have feature for me. Easier to install cartridge and use multiple head shells with mounted cartridges dependent on sound profile I want.   
Speakers that disappear
Bowers and Wilkins with tweeter on top designs are amazing at wide soundstage and disappearing act.
