| Using contact cleaner in tube sockets Thanks all for the input. I found a shop near me in New Haven CT that deals with ARC. I'm just going to take it in and have them take care of it. It will probable have to go to ARC. Thankfully the seller gave me a partial refund. | |

| Using contact cleaner in tube sockets The problem was still the same channel after swapping tubes. I just now cleaned the sockets with the contact cleaner. The amp is warming up now and as I'm typing this, it's crackling on the same channel. So the cleaner did not work. | |
| Good set of speakers for tube amp/preamp I neglected to mention that initially the tube gear will be driving a pair of NHT 2.5is until I can get replacements. I know the NHTs are power hungry. Any thoughts on this? Will the VT100 be able to keep up with them? I currently have an ARC LS-3... | |
| Good set of speakers for tube amp/preamp I have never listened to ribbon speakers. How is the bass output on them? I'm by no means a bass junky but I do listen to some music that puts out a good amount. |
