High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz Reveal is excellent at the $999 price point. Using Reveal Speaker and Power cables. I am a single-ended guy so I cannot compare the two.
High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz By far the best choice would be HFC XLR with CT-2 Helix Technology. This new technology is nothing short of astounding.
High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz I am currently testing an entire set of RCA Magnetic Adapters. The true "burn-in" is closer to 200 hours, although the effect is profound from 72-hours on. I have them on both my Digital Coax (which is a Premium Monoprice for $3.99) https://www.mo...
MQA and the "Pre Ring - Post Ring" Hoax You mean they now make one for CDs?Mine is the combo tuner and cassette player. Into McIntosh electronics...🤔🤔
“MQA is a philosophy”..John Stuart No argument about 24-bit files sounding great. That is to say, both my DACs play them. But, before I spend money on HDtracks I have a good library of Redbook CD quality discs. I am glad they had a $99 entry-level Modi which did 192 native on Linux...
“MQA is a philosophy”..John Stuart I subscribe to the philosophy at Schiit. There is no interest in MQA. Period. There is no interest in Class D amplifiers. Period. Same for DSD. Period.Jason and Mike make my predominantly Redbook collection of Music sound Magical. I would like to ...
Speakers "Disappearing" Nothing scientific here. I put my Advents where the speaker cable reached. They disappear relative to distance back I am. One advantage of a electric wheelchair, precise location of the Sweetspot.
DAC for either Roon or HQPlayer on Linux? For the money, you should look into Schiit DACs. Modi Multibit for $249
2018 exactly what is ‘High End’ audio? An Audiophile is a person who loves Music so much that his dog gets fed and the human goes without to improve the quality of thier Stereo. So what is High End? It is the stereo you listen to, because you love music. The best value in your budget a...
Who thinks $5K speaker cable really better than generic 14AWG cable? I have used plain copper lamp cord speaker wire until a friend gave me a pair of Nordost Valhalla Reference speaker ribbons. I have said that even if I won the lottery I would not have spent $5600/meter pair. But they did make a huge difference.
Who thinks $5K speaker cable really better than generic 14AWG cable? On the back of my Advents were instructions from Henry Kloss to connect the speakers with a good grade of lamp cord. I used 'audiophile-grade' Monster Cable speaker wire. Then a friend gave me a pair of Nordost Valhalla Reference speaker ribbons. ...
DAC recommendation I am currently testing the Mimby but I will have to caution you. If you are connecting via USB then plan on the purchase the Wyrd-- they call it the USB Decrapifier. It sells for $99. I have an iFi iPurifer2 and we heard a noticable improvement wh...
Class D is just Dandy! I saw a Nobsound TPA3116 mini power amplifier for $40, so I figured, "Just how bad could that be?" and along with a 24-volt PS for another $10, I was surprised how GOOD the little box sounded, when hooked to my Large Advent Loudspeakers (circa 197...
Amps from the 1980's -- What gear holds up sonically? Reliably? I am the "Computer Audiophile on the Cheap" and have been considering a NAD 3020, that has been re-capped and tuned up for $269 (e-bay). Any opinions about that legendary 'entry-level' integrated that was such the rave back in the day? I have an h... |
