Should I swap out Denon 2930CI for Arcam?
Docrobbi- Just my opinion but the Arcam DV137 ($550 on audiogon) is well worth the extra $150.
Should I swap out Denon 2930CI for Arcam?
I would hold out until Arcam comes up with their Blu-ray player. I'm sick of upgrading DVD players and hopefully investing the Blu-ray will tide you over for 2-3 years. Personally I gave up and replaced my Arcam with an oppo.

bi-amp question
I know that was kind of a newbie question but I did setup my system as described and it didn't short out. The positive and negatives are separate in my cable so there's no short but I'm guessing that I won't draw the extra current or benefit from ...

What's your profession? Age?
I think my system is retails about 10K+; everything was swapped out this year.
Which high-end receiver?
I have an arcam avr300 and did have some problems with buzzing when it was plugged into my television inputs box (I have a lcd). I think you'll only experience that problem when something isn't grounded properly.
Component or HDMI for DVD player?
I'm viewing with a Sharp Aquos LCD. The input reads the same resolution with HDMI as it does component. The HDMI might win when using an up-scan player. All of this might very well depend on the DVD player and what kind of display is being used.
