Preamp suggestions, yes again
Conrad Johnson PFR. There's one on US Audio Mart for $1500, new caps, refurbished by CJ guy Bill Thalman. No phone, as you like, plus a remote. 
Preamp under $2,000.
Great. Keep it, as the CJ PFR doesn't have one. The rest of the PFR is a Premiere level component, solid state (JFETs), always powered on and has a remote.Oh, plus it looks beautiful.

@mt9894, one of my restrictions is that for these speakers to stay in the living room, the stuff driving them needs to be fairly small and discrete.The H2O is only 14x14x 6-in tall. All black and one small LED in the front, it easily disappers.I...

Try this:Outlaw Audio ICBM-1 Bass Management SystemI believe it does all you need at a reasonable cost. There's one on usaudiomart.com. Just make sure the power supply is to original specs as some may have replaced it with a cheaper generic.
