Has anyone ever heard of the sony x33 es player?
I just happen to own one and have nothing but good things to say about it. I bought it new around 10 years ago and its never had a problem. Its a single disc player and built like a tank. For 30 bucks, its a steal.
Best blues guitarist, Clapton or Green

Best Dead Concert on Mp3
Thanks Gary, I have not downloaded the Pizza tapes but will soon. I recently downloaded "Tangled up in Blue" by The Jerry Garcia Band 1980 Hartford. Jerry's vocals sound a little distant by his guitar solo is nice. I'm unsure of the keyboard playe...
Best musician in the world?
I know from the no responses on dead shows this won't go over well on this site, but I really enjoy listening to Jerry Garcia. Doesn't not blow you out of the water with speed or power but has wonderful solos. Listen to his "sitting in Limbo". Nic...
Best Dead Concert on Mp3
Geez, nobody listen to the dead on audiogon. Seems that heavy metal rules the day. Why spend tons of money on audio? Barton Hall 1977- Really great concert. Sound on the recording is great and the dead are at their best. Best tracks are "They love...
Best blues guitarist, Clapton or Green
Garfish indeed I have been lucky. I lived in Oak Park and spent a lot of time at the blues clubs in Chicago. Nothing beats hearing a good band in a club. Back in the 70's ( man I'm feeling old) I saw Muddy Waters and still think his band was the b...
Best blues guitarist, Clapton or Green
I have been lucky enough to see Buddy Guy, Clapton, and SRV live. For sheer power of show, SRV hands down. Most fun to watch was Albert Collins and the Ice breakers. About 8 or 9 years ago at the Chicago blues fest, I saw a texas guitar night with...
Built your own speakers ?
It was very interesting reading the people's comments on DYI. I posted above my comments about my BESL dual 10 sub. Thorty40 I understand your frustration. I had a local custom cabinet maker build my sub case. Since he had to fit it in around othe...
Built your own speakers ?
I'm not sure how getting the most for your money is cheating; guess it is a New England concept. I found a site off of the sub dyi that lists the drivers found in many quality speakers. Some of these drivers are included in kits. It takes a leap o...
Built your own speakers ?
I've only built a sub but sure learned lots from the experience. My next project is my fronts and I'm only looking to spend around 1600. If you take the approach that the saving from dyi going into the parts, I'm sure you can build as good a speak...
Who has built their own speaker systems
I just completed a BESL dual 10 sub. The inner case is 3/4 inch MDF and the outer case is 3/4 inch Oak. It uses two 10 inch Peerless drivers downfiring in a push pull arrangment and a 3 inch port. The sub is powered by a KG 5230 amp. Here are my t...
