Lexicon RV-8
I am also in the same boat as you. I have a MC12b paired with a Dreadnaught II, but am thinking of selling that combo off. I'd like to save some space, simplify things a bit, and also pocket a good amount of change in the process.
Down to the Final Two -- Dreadnaught vs. Titan
I had a Titan 5 channel in my system for a couple of months, then a Classe CAV-180, then finally the Dreadnaught II. Mine is the 7 channel config. The Dreadnaught just sounded "right" to me. It mates well with the rest of my gear (Lexicon MC12b, A...
Which are the best HT speaker. REL,Aerial,Velodyne
I compared M&K, B&W, and Aerial. When all was said and done, I went with the Aerials. For HT, the Aerial CC5 is the one to beat. The center channels from M&K and B&W were no comparison, IMHO.
Suggestions of Excellent Hawaiian music?
(Shameless self-plug!) I am biased, but I think our band's recording is one of the best quality recordings out there. Recorded onto 2" analog, then mastered onto HDCD. Check it out at:www.islandriddim.com-Kevin
Aerial LR 5 or Thiel MCS 1 for ultimate HT SYS?
When it came time for up to upgrade from my NHT SuperTwo HT setup, my number one priority was a no holds barred HT setup. Since HT was my first priority, I wanted to get the best sounding center channel that was within my budget. The Aerial CC5 wa...
Center Channel needs to handle bass?
YES - the center channel will definitely benefit from being able to handle bass! I recently upgraded my center channel from an NHT VT1-C to an Aerial CC5, and the jump in sound quality was nothing short of amazing. Voices now have more body and de...
HAPA--from hawaii...anyone know it?
I know Hapa personally. I play in a Hawaiian music band myself, and we've opened up concerts for them here in the California Bay Area. Unfortunately, Hapa has just recently broken up, with both Barry and Keali'i going their separate ways. You can ...
AERIAL CC5 over CC3B? Worth it?
I have to agree with Daniel. I just received my CC5 this past weekend, and that is one great sounding speaker! I auditioned both the CC3B and the CC5, and the CC5 was the winner hands down. I'll be mating the CC5 with LR5's later in the year.
Amp for Aerial speakers?
The price I'm able to get the new Theta Dreadnaught populated with 5 200w modules is $3500 delivered. With this in mind, is the Dreadnaught a good match/buy for the Aerials?
