Whats on your turntable tonight? Just scored an unopened copy of Patricia Barber "Cafe Blue". It's about to go on.
B&W 802 Matrix Series 1 Sound I agree that the nautilus might be overpriced, but the matrix are relative bargains.
B&W 802 Matrix Series 1 Sound I've got a set of B&W 803 S2 and Vandys 3A in a 16' by 15' room. The B&W's are much easier to place in the room and sound clear. The vandys are sensitive to placement and have a tendency to sound muddy. Some observations:Piano sounds better...
Placette passive and phono stage So i bought the Ortofon M20E, now I just have to wait till it comes in from Germany.. I think I'll rewire my turntable while I'm waiting. I'm looking at the Blue Circle Audio Fon Lo Thingee for the phono stage. It looks interesting and very upgrad...

Driver matching vs break in period I did switch the "new quiet" driver to the other cabinet and it was still "quieter", so it was not the crossover. I also might have over emphasized image shifting issue, while the image did shift a it was the additional "loudness" that was the mai...
Despriately looking for amp for Maggies 20.1 It's a space time dimension (x,y,z, ct). they call it a 4 vector. Bacially 3 dimensions with the last dimension being seed of light x time. At least it is dimensionally correct.
Considering new amp - Mccormack Evidently... From what I've heard...There where two studios that remixed the original Radiohead albums (before in rainbows). Half the song given to one studio half to the other. Hence people thinking some songs bright.. etc.. Not sure if this is b...
Considering new amp - Mccormack If the DNA .5 would drive the 803's, then I maybe I should consider making an offer on the Rev A that's currently up for $1200??? Just concenred about going down to 100wpc, then again, if I wasn't happy with power, could always pick up another and... |
