Has anyone removed tarnish from Gallo tweeter?
I've had mine for probably about a year now, and they definitely show the fingerprints. My guess is that the oils transmitted through the hands accelerates the tarnishing so that the fingerprints show up first. Over time, I'm hoping they become mo...
MMGs flat with Complex Music
That is one of the reasons I ultimately gave up on Maggies (dynamic compression and bass extension being others)Bought the Gallo Ref III's and haven't looked back since!
Gallo Reference3 back orders
Xenithon...you realize "Spring" includes May and most of June, right?
Amazing ''Overachieving'' products...your pick?
Surprised no one's mentioned the Panasonic digital receivers! These little guys have forced me to re-evaluate my high $$ expenditures of the past.
One of the best tweeters ever, whatever happened?
No Dweller,They don't use the Linaeum tweeter. The Linaeum is a dipole radiator, and the Gallo tweeter is cylindrical (330 degree dispersion) You couldn't put a Gallo CDT in a box, like you could with the Linaeums.I've never heard a linaeum, but I...
Best versatile speakers?
Magnepans are simply NOT good for rock and hip-hop. I sold my Magnepan 3.6's for this reason, and have been very happy with my Gallo Reference III's for all types of music. They do small ensemble, orchestral, rock, hip-hop VERY well. You can add a...
Can any1 help me choose the int amp for my gallo
I know this sounds crazy, but you might want to look at one of those Panasonic digital receivers. I have my Gallo Ref 3's hooked up to a sa-xr50 right now, and I'm quite surprised at how good it sounds (coming from a previous owner of Magnepan 3.6...
Schweikert VR4-Jr vs. Gallo Reference 3 with SA
Xenithon,You're going to get a lot of responses from people who have heard one of the brands but not the other. I HAVEN'T heard the Von Schweikert's, but you don't need to worry about any "coloration" with the Gallos. I own them, and the closest t...
Gallo Reference III Owner's: Quick Question
High-level inputs (on subs and sub-amps) are "usually" there for people who don't have pre-outs. I would imagine amplifying the signal only once (using interconnects) would sound better than amplifying the signal twice...Just a guess, the only way...
Schweikert VR4-Jr vs. Gallo Reference 3 with SA
Cytocycle, you must be about 10' tall if the gallos are "knee-height". They are 30" tall, which is small for a floorstander, but nothing miniature. Also, to me that was a big "plus", because I prefer modern/minimalist design. You don't need a big s...

Gallo reference /TAS vs Me
Golden_ears, They do, but it's not released yet. Go to roundsound.com to take a look at it. It's a CDT tweeter with 4 spheres in a horizontal arrangement. I've heard Q1 2005 as the targeted release date.

One of my speakers' grill frame top cross member was also bent, whereas the other was not. Hard to tell if the frame or the speaker are out of kilter. Didn't bother me too much, because I prefer the look without the grill frame.
Anthony Gallo Reference 3 without sub
Bdbaba,Which Panny amp are you using with the Gallo's? I've had mine for a couple months now, and I was tempted to give the XR50 a try (which would be kind of ridiculous, since my current pre/pro alone cost $3500, but what the heck!)
Best center speakers for dialogue clarity?
I actually am very disappointed with My Maggie CC2 center...the tendency of Maggie's to lose all low-level detail below a certain volume forces me to run the center almost 10db hotter than my mains to make soft-spoken dialogue intelligible, while ...
