Where to go next, DAC or Preamp In my view there`s no point to start the upgrade from the DAC if preamp is a bottleneck. I suggest to start from preamp then amp and lastly DAC. Focals are extremely revealing so they like top quality gear upwards. | |

Pass Labs x150.5 question I haven`t heard Special 25 but as Dynaudios are generally on the warm and musical side I believe that Pass amp will be great match. It has all the clarity and dynamics that Dynaudios need. Not sure about the McIntosh though. | |

Most Beneficial Cable Upgrade If you use passive preamp them preamp to amp cable is more critical than CD-p to preamp. Low resistance and short cable is advisable in this case. | |
