Lowest priced MC thats better than a Premium MM?
Go with the Hana or a Benz MC cart. As stated above you will need a cartridge that plays well with your tonearm for balancing. This is the most important factor when selecting your cartridge. I would've thought that your Ortofon Black would be a p...
REL .LFE input
I had a similar issue with my REL T9x. Was emitting a hum at around 60 cycles but only when using the vinyl rig. My connection is also the hi level input. I ended up replacing the wire with a set made for me by bluejeans cables. They do make a cus...
Why are speaker stands so expensive?!
These are affordable and solid. You can fill the stands with shot or sand for more rigidity. The spikes and saucers are a nice addition as well. Good luck   https://www.standsandmounts.com/speakerstands.aspx
So you just took a gummie...What song is on the menu?
Vol 20 Garcia Live is the cure. And some popcorn and crunch bars. Oh, a hot pocket too. Jones soda. Did I say what album I was listening to? My toenails are growing fast! Maybe I should do my taxes... Damn I'm hungry!
horn or line array?
I have a set of Magnepans which are dipole, and they do pretty good with certain jazz. Pianos sound lovely in particular. But my cornwalls are my go to for horns and anything rock related. Horns may be your best bet all around for jazz music. Hope...
Is there a ceiling limit on what you are willing to pay for an audio component?
@deadhead1000 , totally agree with your sentiment here. The system needs to make sense all around for price and synergy.  But the way my fav years are 1973 and 1974. Can't wait for the latest box set to come out

worth the jump to Cornwall IV's from Forte IV's?
Hello AudioCanada, Towards your original question, yes it's worth the plunge man. Cornwalls work very well in a lot of different room configurations and you should notice a performance boost from your fortes if nothing else changes. Hope this hel...
Cornwall IV speaker placement guidance
Hello,   I use CWs myself and experimented with several listening positions before settling. I used the golden triangle rule, some call this the cardas method. Look it up and see if that'll help. I am firing towards the short side of my room whi...
Maggie 1.7i's lack detail. Ideas?
Hey there,   Happy to respond to this inquiry as I've had similar issues with getting my Maggie 1.7is to "sing". I purchased my Maggie's from a dealer in March of 2020 and was initially powering with a multi channel Emotiva amp. I quickly found ...
Question about Class A
Jay , You can spend yourself blind sorting through the different class A components that are available. There are some great suggestions in this feed but consider the efficiency of your speakers and go to your dealer to listen on a few options. S...
