Looking for a pre-amp for Accuphase A-75
Thanks for sharing your experience. What speakers do you have?
Looking for upgrade of Accuphase E-480
Hi again I wanted to let you know, that I have got a simple solution. I got a new version of the XLR cable I already had and that brings such a warm and soft color to the sound image. I listened to all the tracks that were too bright with the ol...
Looking for upgrade of Accuphase E-480
Thanks for your ideas. As I said, with the C-2850 and A-75 it was a very musical, smooth and refined sound with lots of details. I will observe the market for a used combo. If there is a C-3800 or C-3850 I consider that too. I just wanted too see,...
Looking for upgrade of Accuphase E-480
Thanks, but my question was more like: Who has audibly compared different separates on the 803D3 (like Accuphase or Pass Labs etc.)
Looking for upgrade of Accuphase E-480
Thanks. I know the Sonus Faber kind of speaker sound. This is not, what I am looking for. Too much "wooden" sound, too little resolution and 3D imaging for my taste. I know, that a smoother sounding speaker will work smoother with the E-480. But ...
Looking for upgrade of Accuphase E-480
Thank you for your comments. Good point to consider the C-3850. I have never compared alle the preamps. And I have time, I can wait until there is a good offer in my region. I use a Shunyata Alpha v2 for main power to the Isotek Sigmas and the r...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
It think it's alway good to stick to the truth. :) There are always people who don't hear any difference, because they have a system, that is not on the level to reproduce these details or they simple never tried it. (or their ears are too weak ;...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
Yes, cables do a lot and I definitely can improve my XLR NF-cable. That is the first thing, that I will check with a good XLR from a friend. Surely, I will check other LS-cables too to optimize the whole sound picture. And another step would be ...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
For your info: The T2 definitely got the warmth and powerful bass that I missed in the beginning. After 2 days of burning in I can hear a big difference! Two days ago, before the T2 was burnt in, my old Cambridge 851N sounded a lot warmer than th...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
Thanks for your feedback, guys. I have a pair of B&W 803D3 and a Accuphase E-480 Amplifier which both are on the analytic side of the sound spectrum. So I was not sure, if with the Lumin T2 it would be too analytic, too sharp and cool. But i...
Lumin T2 burn in time?
Hi there Wow, I'm so glad, that I found your thread. I have exactly the same problem. I have a Cambridge Audio 851N and want to upgrade to a better one. So I got a new Lumin T2 from a hifi store for testing at home. Great dynamic and precise so...
