Subwoofer Decisions - REL/Rythmik, Pair/Single, Paper/Aluminum Driver, etc.
Hmm, just noted the earlier thoughts about the L22/E22.  When I bought my pair of F18's, I had started by considering a set of 2 L22's (the E22 was not available at the time and they didn't mention it to me) since it fit my physical constraints fo...
Subwoofer Decisions - REL/Rythmik, Pair/Single, Paper/Aluminum Driver, etc.
About 6 months ago I got 2 Rythmik F18's (sealed subs) for my living room setup.  Musically, they are flawless.  After some HT experience with the F18's now, one can contrast the signature of more "standard" (or somewhat sloppy) bass that is the n...
Upgrade from Pass Labs XA30.8 to X250.8. Worth it?
A slightly old thread but thought I'd comment.  I have an XA30.8 (which itself was an update from an XA30.5) and had upgraded my speakers to Tekton Double Impact in my living room/primary setup.  The tonality was great, but I wanted to get more of...

I had a friend come over to show off his snazzy new Phonic PAA6 (Professional Audio Analyzer). We hooked up my Tekton Pendragons and ran a pink noise test (from PAA6 ==> First Watt B1 preamp ==> First Watt F5 amp ==> Tekton Pendragon). Usi...

Review: Tekton Pendragon Speakers
I'll add more detail:The imaging issue mentioned in the review appears to be gone now, and seems to have been due to a miscalibrated First Watt F5 clone. With that fixed, everything has been spot-on as well as my ears can detect.
Review: Tekton Pendragon Speakers
A month later I've had a chance to try some other amplifiers and the slight imaging issue mentioned above appears to be aleviated with the right setup and amps.I'm even happier with them than when I first got them!
Review: Tekton Design Pendragon Speaker
I just got my Pendragons today.First impression: They are large and heavy (this was written right after moving them into my listening space).Second impression: Listening to them has brought a smile to my face.I just have them hooked up to my Yamah...
Review: Tekton Design Pendragon Speaker
I have a set of Pendragons on order as well, and should get them in a few weeks. The room I plan on putting them in is 22 feet X 27 feet. I have a few different amps, including one Tripath 5W, which I'm going to try on them.
