Dynaudio Audience 72SE
Thanks for your response. I bought a pair of Focus 140s and can see what your saying. I've had them for a few months and they are starting to come into their own. The 72SEs I bought until I can afford the C1s. I was surprised how much more I like ...
Denon PMA-2000 IVR and Focus 140
I'm sure there are quite a few people out there shaking their heads about Denon in this situation. Let me assure you this Denon is NOT what you think! The Denon has a ton of headroom and control over the 140s. This combination is wonderful for so...
Dynaudio or B&W
I just bought a pair of Audience 72SE in Cherry for $1500 New in Box from a Dynaudio Dealer. What a great find and will hold me over until I can swing something out of the Confidence Line.
Speakers that reveal bad recordings? Not for me.
Its nice to have great equipment, but isn't it about the music? I have some less than stellar recordings but I take them for what they are. Music that I enjoy. Not because its the best recording with all the nuances, but the recording that has so...
Klipsch kg 3.5 vs. 5.2?
Get the 5.2s. I had a pair back in the day when they first came out. They use a Tractrix Horn which I think has a larger throat than the 3.5, I think! Its been so long. But anyway, I loved them as they were less bright than most other klipch, cou...

Hales Transcendence 8s with VTL, Wadia and Cardas. Hands down the best system I have heard. Now, I know we are talking speakers here, but the other equipment will make or break it for the speakers. There are many possible recipes out there, so I f...
Dynaudio or B&W
Thanks everyone for the helpful responses. I am going to make the switch and when I do, I will let everyone here know what I purchased.
Dynaudio or B&W
I was really surprised with the Jolida. This was my first experience with tube gear and was hesitant on lower power. I had a pair of Bryston 7Bst Mono Amps so I was used to huge amounts of solid state power. The Jolida was modified with a larger ...
fuses - the $39 ones or the 85 cent ones
I bought a modified Jolida JD-1000 that had the top level modification offered from Parts Connexion. I was surprised that for the price of the mod they were not included. I can see why NOS Tubes are not used though. Much more of an expense and the...
fuses - the $39 ones or the 85 cent ones
I've always wondered why the hi-end manufactures do not put these in right off the bat. Makes sense to me. Its one thing to let people buy the cabling they want but finish the job on the inside of the gear. Add the better fuses!
