Home Theater IMAX Experience w/ A Robinson-Youtube Zd542 I have to thank you again for a honest discussion. That is why I don't post to much. I do see your point of view. Many things can be subjective and go against the grain when it comes to preference. Anyone would be foolish to argue that's not...
Home Theater IMAX Experience w/ A Robinson-Youtube Zd542, you are correct we will have to agree to disagree and yes audio is very objective.Thank you for the mutual respect. The op has a valid point there are right and wrong ways to do things in the a/v world. Case in point, my father in-law has a ...
Home Theater IMAX Experience w/ A Robinson-Youtube The rules are set, acoustics only work how they work, electronics only do what they were designed to do. Not everyone will perceive them the same way in different rooms or environments but they will always only work one way.Opinions are just that,...
Home Theater IMAX Experience w/ A Robinson-Youtube I think he does a good job of explaining what he is trying to accomplish. We all know there are certain scientific rules that dictate how we are going to perceive our systems. He is saying we all don't have $2,000,000 to do a Imax theater at home ...
Netflix streaming, is 11.5 mbps enough? I have 10mbps and stream via roku 2 hd. I get great hd and dd+ on some movies. Watched Black Hawk Down last night on my 120" set up and it looked nice, not BD quality but very good. Netflix says you only need 3to4 megs for hd quality.
What more possibly could they offer consumers? Just read this yesterdayhttp://hometheaterreview.com/what-drives-the-consumer-electronics-business-beyond-4k-video-and-24-bit-audio/Pretty much, soon we'll max out on the limitations of our senses. When we hit that wall I'll still enjoy my music o...
Not considerin3D,isn't AV market rather stagnant? Kennyt I know the new JVC projectors and Integra pre/pros and receivers work with the Quad Full HD, haven't heard of anyone else yet. The JVC is a pretty reasonable $8000. That's a nice drop in price for 8% less pixels.I see Avgorounds point too. ...
Not considerin3D,isn't AV market rather stagnant? I honestly can't wait for true consumer grade 4k res projectors(for under $10,000). Sony just came out with one for $25,000, so we should see them coming out in a couple of years. Other than that I agree. 3d sucks, it gives me a headache and 1/3 o...
TV 1080P resolution You guys are correct to a point, 1080 is 1080 and it is more pronounced on larger screens but progressive signal is always superior to interlaced. Think of it this way on, a 32" crt tv a dvd will look superior to a standard cable or sat signal, ev...
Does a center channel have to match the front spke All good answers. I agree with both points of view on this subject. That's only because of all of the variables involved, content, equipment, room and so on and so on. A mix of speakers can work well, my father in-law has a mix all the way around an...
Is HDMI worth It in term of sound quality? I love lossless codecs. Dolby Digital sounds flat and lifeless now. My system is geared towards High-Def movie playback though. Hdmi is the easiest way to get what I want.Willland makes a good point, with the right gear you can get the same result...
Projector question LCD are easy to place. Your best bet is Epson 8350 for $1299 or the Panasonic 4000 u. I know the Panasonic is a little over budget but it is a great projector. I built my own screen with material I bought on Ebay also the black boarder tape. I spe...
Two-channel is inferior to multi-channel, no? Ok I've been reading hear for sometime, I tend to not get into opinionated threads. I've read most of this one and there are great arguments for both sides. It is hard (but not impossible) to create a solid sound field with multi channel systems. ... |
