Why so little Primare gear on A'gon? Bad rep? I've owned/operated Primare for about 10 yrs. The build and sonics are hard to beat in it's price-class.
sonus faber GH with Sub vs Amat Homage Have you auditioned the Electa Amator II? Many view this speaker as good choice between the GH and the larger SF floor-standing models. EAIIs can also be a bit punchy in smaller rooms, but I've been very happy with the speaker.
Amp for Sonus Faber Electa Amator While EA might demand more power than the typical stand-mount speaker, I would not rule out tubes in your search for the best amplifier. In using a tube amp, you might loose a degree of bass authority, but the high end-response might be more to yo...
Sonus Faber Electa Amator mk I vs Auditor M Agreed. I wouldn't trade the EAI for the Auditor. Personally, I don't care for the harshness of the Auditor's upper-end response. Maybe it's just the resolution of the tweeter, but I prefer the more laid-back feel of the Concerto and EA.Chris
Amp for Sonus Faber Electa Amator I use the Primare A30.2 with the EAII. The sound is very pleasing with ample power and finesse.Good luck.
Revel Studio 1, B&W 802N or Sonus Faber Cremonas I don't have any experience with Parasound, however I can say that the SF EAII sings with the PRE30/A30.2/D30.2.Chris
Arc + Mcinthosh + Kef + Primare Maybe find a used D30.2?
amp for sonus faber concerto domus Primare sounds great with Sonus. (I use Primare separates with the EAII.) Most would say that Sonus speakers lean towards the 'warm' side; I wouldn't pair Sonus with a warm/soft amp. However, I wouldn't trust others to tell you what is 'right'. Au...
Pop with turn on/ off Primare 30 pre,A30.2 amp I've also experienced this problem with the Primare A30.2. My guess is that there's a faulty capacitor in the circuit... |
