Anyone listen to entire albums?
Agree with everything except the "one sitting" part....I abandoned vinyl because you can't hear an entire album without getting up, all after the ritual cleaning before - only to wash rinse repeat for album #2. Digital allows listening to the alb...
New Messiah
I am partial to the Toronto Symphony version conducted by Andrew Davis with John Aler but will certainly check this one out...thanks!
MJ Acoustics.
I have two of their subs (Ref 100 and Ref 150) and they are great. particularly happy with the remote which allows adjustment of all settings from the comfort of my listening chair. Makes it easy to integrate by ear super quickly.
Why Are We Breaking Our Brains?
This post resonates with me. As a wine lover, I have had many opportunities to blind taste wines and always enjoy finding that bottle that satisfies the palate at a nominal price. Especially fun when an inexpensive bottle knocks out a very high-en...
DAC recommendation in 5 to 10K range
I absolutely love my Weiss 501....has a great feature set, very flexible inputs and sounds sweet.
Innuos Phoenix USB Reclocker - Sounds Worse?
@nyev Did some back and forth today and the reclocker definitely helps my system. It’s a tonal thing. Strings instruments seem more real. I am using curious USB cables. Interesting to me that I tried their evolved cable a while back and could not...
Innuos Phoenix USB Reclocker - Sounds Worse?
Been happy with my phoenix now for over a year...it definitely elevated my system and like you my source is Zenith Mk3. Have since upgraded my DAC to a Weiss and never thought to check - maybe my system will sound better without the phoenix. I wi...
Your sub experience: Easy or hard?
I am surprised that the MJ Acoustics subs aren't more popular. Once you decide on placement, everything else (gain, x-over, phase etc) are all adjustable by a small remote. Made it very easy to integrate into my system all by myself.
The problem with streaming
Funny, the original post started on quality of the pressing and finding the best version, then digressed into analog being so much better which most of the thread followed.  I am 100% digital and find myself grappling with the first problem - fin...
A different world
@kaarmstrong  Thank you for the link to Vinyl vs Digital website. I had posted months ago about my disappointment with some of the digital Hi-Res releases not sounding as good as the original CD, and now am thinking that many of my observations ...
What's up with Innuos?
I am in agreement with the latter half of this thread. Once i made the change to Sense and listened, there is no going back to Roon. I don't know enough to understand why the SQ is better, but it is noticeably so. I am also a Qobuz user and have h...
is Hi-Res all that?
All.thanks for your responses. As i worried, these differences are not obvious from the packaging or the marketed resolution, but only there for those obsessed enough to listen and discriminate. Ditto there doesn't appear to be any easily navigable...
