which sub to get
Agree with Bdp24 - Rythmik f12g. Can easily fine tune to fit any room.
Need New Bookshelf Speakers of Certain 'Style'
Check out the Joseph audio rm7xl. They are front ported so they will be easier to place in the room. They look really nice on stands and sound fantastic. Great imaging and sound terrific playing jazz and contemporary music.
Best imaging and sounding bookshelf speaker
Agree with the Joseph Audio suggestion. The RM7xl, a little lower in the Joseph lineup, also image extremely well.
As good as Ayre QB-9 DSD but with SPDIF input?
Hegel hd25 sounds great. Preferred over many other dacs I've had over the years.
Bookshelfs budget is $ 2000.
Seriously consider the Joseph audio RM7xl. Fantastic front ported speaker. Price, used, would certainly be in your budget. Good luck.
Golden Ear Triton7 spk: High-end or just mid -fi??
I'll second the Joseph audio RM7XL recommendation. Front port should make them easy to place in a smaller room. Very musical speakers.
System advice
KEF LS50,and a sub if needed, would be fantastic. The LS50 deserve all the great reviews and awards.
