rega heavyweight for zu 103 I used modeling clay to stick a penny on the back of my Express Machining "Heavyweight". It's probably still a little light, but the sound and soundstage are improved.
Upgrades for VPI HW -19 jr.??? Hello Mark- Well I've got a 9 pound platter, black with cork bottom, spindle press fitted, 1/4-20 threaded on top. It's 7/8" thick, the same size as my Junior's ceramic platter. Is it a Mk-3 platter? The spindle is about 2 3/4" long, less than 3/8...

Can I install a new arm on this old table? A Rega should work and would be a good choice. You'll have to use spacers to adjust the height. With this tagle I wouldn't spend too much on an arm - maybe you could look here for a used one.
Can I install a new arm on this old table? The KD-500 came with two circular cut outs for installing a tonearm. One was drilled with a concentric hole, the other was an SME slot. (You'll probably want to use the circular hole.) It should be a simple matter to attach a new arm, provided you... |
