Tube Monoblocks in the 5-7K Range You might want to consider the Rogue Audio M-180 amps. I've got a pair, and they're great. Lots of great reviews out there, and lots of ideas for rolling tubes if you're into that.
What's your favorite Apple-based music program? Check out Decibel over at sbooth.org. Plays from memory, direct HOG mode, FLAC playback to my asynchronous USB Ayre QB-9, etc. Worth more than it costs. And it just works very well.
New tubes in Rogue M-180 Monoblocks I'll chime in and completely agree with Daverz but add that there seems to be more lower end punch as well with the KT-120 tubes. Highly recommended if your amps can handle them.

Best Metal Vinyl Album Oh, I don't know about not thinking about audiophiles. There's a hell of a lot of great music out there, metal included.Any Opeth vinyl album will blow you completely away. Some of my favorites are Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries, and Still Life. ...
Software for Cataloging Vinyl Collection? Correction: Neither Microsoft Access or Excel are included in any versions of Microsoft Windows. If you're planning on using these, you'd need to purchase them. Home license versions aren't all that expensive anymore, so it's not a huge expense.
Headless MacMini What I do is use some sort of VNC remote viewer software on another computer or an iPad (I use the free Mocha VNC Lite). Or, if you have another Mac use the built-in remote desktop. These solutions require remote access to be enabled on your Mac M...
